Eyebrows
Nano/hyperrealism brows
What are Nano Brows? The most advanced brow technique using an ultra-fine single needle to create incredibly realistic hair strokes. Hyperrealism brows feature flowing, curved patterns that mimic natural hair growth for a stunning 3D effect.
The Look:Soft, feathery, and exceptionally natural—perfect for the “no-makeup” look
How It Works:Digital machine (not a blade) creates precise, delicate strokes with minimal skin trauma and superior colour accuracy
Perfect For:Normal to dry skin types and anyone wanting the most lifelike, natural hair-stroke brows
How Long It Lasts:12–24 months before needing a refresh
Ombre/powder brows
What are Powder Brows?A soft, shaded technique that creates a gradient effect—lighter at the front, gradually darker through the arch and tail, like a professionally filled-in brow.
The Look:Soft, powdery finish that resembles makeup application—polished yet natural
How It Works:Digital machine deposits tiny pixels of pigment in layers to build a smooth, diffused effect
Perfect For:All skin types, especially oily, mature, or sensitive skin. Ideal if you love a defined, makeup-ready look
How Long It Lasts:18–36 months—the longest-lasting option with the most even fading
Microblading
What is Microblading?A manual technique using a handheld blade to create individual hair strokes by making tiny cuts in the skin and depositing pigment.
The Look:Crisp, defined hair strokes—though they may blur faster on oily or thin skin
How It Works:Manual blade tool (not a machine) creates each stroke individually; involves more surface trauma than machine methods
Perfect For:Normal to dry skin with good texture and smaller pores. Best for those specifically wanting the traditional microblading technique
How Long It Lasts:12–18 months—may need more frequent touch-ups than machine techniques
Nano-combination Eyebrows
What are Combination Brows? The best of both worlds—realistic hair strokes at the front blended with soft shading through the body and tail for added fullness and definition.
The Look:Natural yet structured with beautiful dimension and depth
How It Works:Machine nano strokes combined with machine shading for a balanced, textured finish
Perfect For:Most skin types, especially if you want natural-looking brows with more presence and shape
How Long It Lasts:18–30 months, depending on your skin and lifestyle
The Process
1. BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
7–14 Days Before Treatment
– Patch test: Book yours patch test if it’s your first time or you have sensitive skin
- Protect your skin: Avoid sunburn, tanning beds, chemical peels, microneedling, and facial treatments
- Pause active skincare: Stop using retinoids, retinol, AHA, BHA, or any strong acids on the treatment area for 7–10 days—these thin the skin and affect pigment retention
– Injectable timing: No Botox or dermal fillers near the treatment area for 2 weeks before or after your appointment
– Accutane users: If you’ve taken Accutane (isotretinoin), you must wait 6–12 months after finishing treatment before booking
48–72 Hours Before Treatment
What to Avoid:
– Blood thinners: No alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil supplements, or vitamin E—these increase bleeding and affect pigment retention
– Important: If any of these are prescribed medications, never stop taking them without your doctor’s permission
– Brow prep:No waxing, threading, or eyebrow tinting for at least 48–72 hours before brows (tinting: wait 5–7 days)
-If you can send me the picture of your full face without makeup and your desired eyebrows.
2. DURING YOUR TREATMENT: WHAT HAPPENS
Step 1: Consultation & Consent (15–20 mins)
We’ll discuss your desired look, go through your medical history, review contraindications, and ensure you’re a good candidate. This is when you ask any final questions.
Step 2: Custom Design & Mapping (20–30 mins)
I’ll carefully measure and pre-draw your brows, lips, or liner using facial symmetry principles. We’ll adjust together until the shape is absolutely perfect for your face—this is the most important step.
Step 3: Colour Selection (10 mins)
I’ll custom-blend pigments to match your skin’s undertone, hair colour (for brows), and desired intensity. You’ll approve the colour before we begin.
Step 4: Numbing (15–20 mins)
I apply a topical numbing cream to maximise your comfort. Most clients describe the sensation as mild scratching or pressure—not pain. I’ll reapply numbing as needed throughout.
Step 5: The Procedure (60–120 mins)
Using precise, gentle techniques, I’ll implant pigment in fine layers. We’ll take breaks, check symmetry in different lighting, and make adjustments. You’re in complete control—let me know if you need anything.
3. Aftercare
General Rules (Days 1–10)
Keep It Clean & Protected:
– Don’t touch:Keep hands off the area—no picking, rubbing, or scratching under any circumstances
– cleanser. Pat dry—never rub
- Sleep smart: Sleep on your back with a fresh, clean pillowcase. Avoid direct shower spray hitting the treated area
Strict Avoidance List:
– ❌ Sweating (no gym, running, hot yoga)
– ❌ Swimming (pools, ocean, hot tubs)
– ❌ Saunas, steam rooms, or hot baths
– ❌ Direct sun exposure or tanning
– ❌ Makeup on or near the treated area
– ❌ Facial treatments (facials, peels, lasers, microneedling)
What’s Normal During Healing
Days 1–2: Bold & Bright
Your brows/lips/liner will look darker and more. Mild redness, tenderness, or slight swelling is completely normal.
Days 3–7: Flaking Phase
The area will start to flake or peel like a sunburn. The colour may look uneven or patchy—this is expected. *Do not pick or peel—let it shed naturally.
Days 8–14: Colour appears very light, faded, or even nearly gone. Don’t panic—this is temporary.
Weeks 3–4:
Your true colour gradually returns and settles into the skin.
Weeks 4–6: Healed Result
You’ll see your final, healed outcome. Your perfecting session refines any areas that need more pigment or shape adjustment.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is semi‑permanent eyebrow makeup safe, and what risks, side effects, and regulations should I know? Your Question goes here?
Safe when done by a trained, licensed artist with sterile, single‑use tools and a patch test. Risks: infection, allergy, pigment shift, scarring. Check local regulations, insurance, and clinic hygiene.
What is semi‑permanent eyebrow makeup (Nano brows, microblading, ombré, powder brows) and which option is best?
Semi‑permanent brows add pigment to enhance shape. Nano brows (machine hair‑strokes), microblading (manual strokes), ombré/powder (soft shading). The best depends on your skin type, natural hair, and desired finish.
How much do semi‑permanent eyebrows cost and what factors affect the price?
Prices typically range from £300 to £600, depending on artists, location, technique, and whether corrections or top‑ups are included. I set up a good price so many people can afford to have their desired eyebrows with achievable expectation.
How long do semi‑permanent eyebrows last and how often are top‑ups needed?
Longevity: microblading ~12–18 months; nano ~12–24 months; ombré/powder ~18–30 months. Top‑ups usually every 12–24 months.
What is the healing timeline for semi‑permanent eyebrows and what aftercare steps should I follow?
Healing: days 1–3 bold/darker; days 4–10 flaking; weeks 2–4 softening; final after 4–8 week touch‑up. Aftercare: keep area dry, avoid sweat/sun/retinoids, don’t pick, apply recommended balm sparingly
Nano brows, microblading vs ombré vs powder brows: which looks most natural and lasts longest?
Most natural: nano (finest, crisp hair‑strokes). Microblading looks natural but can blur on oily skin. Longest lasting: ombré/powder; nano also holds well on many skin types.
How do I choose the best semi‑permanent eyebrow clinic or artist ?
Choose by healed results (not just fresh), reviews, hygiene standards, certifications, colour‑theory knowledge, and a thorough consultation/patch test. Transparency in pricing and aftercare is key.
Are semi‑permanent eyebrows suitable for oily skin or different Fitzpatrick skin types?
Oily skin: ombré/powder or nano performs better than microblading. For different Fitzpatrick types, we adjust pigment undertones and technique to avoid ashy or reddish healing.
Can semi‑permanent eyebrows help with sparse brows or hair loss (over‑plucking, alopecia)?
Yes—great for sparse brows or hair loss. Shading builds fullness; nano/microblading add realistic strokes. Expectations should be natural, not “instant makeup,” and may need maintenance.
What should I expect during a semi‑permanent eyebrow appointment (consultation, pain level, downtime)?
Expect consultation, brow mapping, colour match, numbing, then the procedure (about 2–3 hours). Pain is mild (scratchy/pressure), also depending on client’s pain threshold or sensitivity at the time of having treatment. Minimal downtime; brows look bold at first, then soften before the touch‑up.
